This is the plain-English version of how Vacation Math (vacationmathmom.com) handles your information. It's a small site run by one person, so it's pretty simple.
The short version
- There are no accounts, logins or forms on this site.
- I don't sell your personal information. Ever.
- Some links are affiliate or referral links. If you click one, the company on the other end may set its own cookies.
- If you email me, I use your email to write back. That's it.

Email you send me
If you email me (for a question, a collaboration or anything else), I get your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. I use it to reply and to keep track of our conversation. I don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask me to, and I don't share your email with anyone else except the email provider that delivers and stores my mail. Ask me any time and I'll delete our emails.
Affiliate and referral links
Some links on this site are affiliate or referral links. That includes links for Amazon (I'm part of the Amazon Associates program), Rakuten, Capital One Shopping, Dosey, Nuuly, and credit card issuers, plus card affiliate networks I may join in the future. If you click one of these links and buy something or get approved for a card, I may earn a commission, cash back or bonus points.
When you click one of these links, you leave my site, and the company on the other end (or the network that tracks the referral) may set cookies or use similar tech on your device so they know the visit came from me. Those cookies are theirs, not mine, and they follow that company's own privacy policy. I don't get your name, card application details or purchase details. At most, I see things like a count of clicks or a commission amount.

Analytics
This site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see simple, aggregate stats like how many people visited and which pages they read. Cloudflare Web Analytics doesn't use cookies and isn't used to track you across other websites. I don't use Google Analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
Hosting, fonts and logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information (like your IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and keep the site secure. The site's font (Poppins) is loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to download it. Both companies handle that information under their own privacy policies.
Selling or sharing your data
I don't sell, rent or trade personal information. I don't share it with anyone except the service providers mentioned above, or if the law requires it.
Children
This site is written for adults (it's a lot of credit card and points talk). It isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent me personal information, email me and I'll delete it.
Links to other sites
I link to lots of other sites: hotels, airlines, card issuers, shops and social media. Once you click away, you're on their site and their privacy policy applies, not this one. I'm not responsible for how they handle your information, so it's worth a look at theirs.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site works changes (say I add a newsletter), I'll update this page and the date below.
